Important Dates

The College does not have a formal deadline for applications. However, the University recommend that applications are sent well in advance of the intended enrolment date to allow good time for the various arrangements that need to be made between the receipt of application forms and the commencement of study. Some of the taught degrees will also be fully subscribed by the summer months and unable to consider applications by this time.

Normally, students commence their studies at the start of the academic year in late September, although a few MPhil/Phd programmes can be started at other times of the year. The University therefore advise that your application reaches the University by 31 May, particularly if you wish to apply for accommodation on campus. However, most Departments do not have a deadline for applications but welcome them all the year round.

Applicants who wish to be considered for Research Council, British Academy, Overseas Research Student awards or College Studentships and Scholarships are recommended to submit their postgraduate application form by 31 March at the latest in order to comply with the deadlines set by these grant-awarding bodies.
